Kendrick Lamar Being Sued Over Stolen Instrumental

Kendrick Lamar released his self-titled EP in 2009 and found a lot of success in the single “I Do This.” Not everyone is happy with how well the track has done however as Bill Withers is now suing the rapper for stealing the instrumental from his 1975 hit “Don’t You Want To Stay.”
TMZ reports that Withers’ former record label Mattie Music Group has filed a suit against K. Dot and TDE claiming that even though the project in question was supposed to be released for free, it still appears for sale online. They also argue that nothing about the original track was changed aside from the rap lyrics being added over Bill’s song.
