Troy Ave Starting Scholarship Program For His High School

Despite all of the legal issues he currently faces, incarcerated Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave looks to give back to his community by setting up a scholarship fund at New Utrecht High School where he and his late friend Banga both attended.

The athletic scholarship will award $2,000 to one student each year starting this year with senior defensive end Gianni Penso, who has plans to play on Pace University’s football team as an outside linebacker.

Troy Ave, who recently released his Free Troy Ave mixtape, will appear in court for his next hearing on June 22nd.
